Assignment 16 

The tension vector for a rubber band is calculated.  The lab exercise studies an object held in equilibrium by the tensions of 3 rubber bands. 

The qa assignment is designed to reinforce the analysis of projectile motion, a topic many students find challenging and confusing.  The main ideas are that vertical motion is characterized by the acceleration of gravity, horizontal motion by acceleration zero, and vertical and horizontal motions are independent.

The 'seed' problem obtains the force vector for the tension of a rubber band whose ends are located at specified points in the coordinate plane.

The lab exercise analyzes the forces exerted on a paper clip by three rubber bands, non parallel to any of the others, which hold it in equilibrium.
