Assignment 22

Graphs representing various phenomena and relationships are analyzed and interpreted.  We begin to consider the motion of an object subject to forces not along its line of motion.

The Introductory Problem Set topic is interpretation of graphs, with a focus on interpreting for a variety of applications the rise, run, slope, average 'graph altitude' and area associated with graph intervals.

qa problems concern the motion of an object when subjected to a force not parallel to the line of motion.

One 'seed' problem considers the effect of a wind gust on the momentum of an airplane.  The other analyzes the motion, and the potential and kinetic energy changes, of a projectile.

The text assignment continues to develop the applications of impulse, momentum and conservation of momentum.
