This assignment has several goals:

• We review some important concepts from Physics I, which will help you 'get the wheels turning' and will provide the instructor with some insight into your level of preparation for this course.
• We preview some of the systems we will be studying in Physics II.
• We conduct some lab-related exercises to establish procedures and techniques, some of which might not have been addressed in your Physics I lab.
• We establish some conventions for communication and reporting of experiments.
• We make sure you either have the necessary materials for the course, or know what you need and where to get it.
