General Instructions

Distance Students:  For each assignment see the corresponding video lectures on the appropriate CD, as indicated by the section number on the link.   You should have emailed the instructor as indicated on the VHCC schedule.  If you haven't emailed dsmith@vhcc.edu immediately for instructions on how to get started.

Preliminary Assignment (orientation and assessment)

Distance Students:  BE SURE YOU HAVE CONTACTED YOUR INSTRUCTOR BY EMAIL.  You will receive instructions for orientation and assessment.

Distance Students should have completed Orientation and Startup according to instructions received through student's VCCS email account.  If instructions have not been received, email the instructor immediately.

Sections 6.2 and 6.3 in the Sullivan text include information already seen in Sections 6.3 and 6.4 in the Bittinger text, as well as some of the information in Section 6.5.  Section 6.5 of the Bittinger text goes beyond the information in these sections of the Sullivan text, which spreads these topics over an entire chapter, so that Bittinger's Section 6.5 will also correspond to Assignment 3.  Class Notes 1-5 correspond to Sections 6.3 - 6.5 of the Bittinger text.
